My name is Veronica. I’m the proud mom of 4 boys – Elijah (17), Ethan (13), Ryan (11), and the baby of the house, Bradley (8). They are my sweet blessings!
I am a recent stay-at-home mom. We’ve had some things occur in our family that had my husband and me reevaluating what we thought was important for our family. We felt that me staying home again was part of the change that our family would benefit from. I really enjoyed the work I did, and miss the people I was able to meet and work with, but nothing beats the opportunity to be here for my family every day. To be here to provide for all their needs, making their meals, driving them all over the place, and just being able to spend quality time with them. This is what I feel God has really intended for me, and I Love it!
My wonderful husband is Ezekiel. He’s proof that God truly has someone special for each of us. I don’t think anyone else would care to put up with me sometimes. Bless his heart! He’s an usher on Sunday mornings and a wonderful father and husband.
How long have you attended Trinity and how are you involved?
My family and I have been a part of the Trinity family for 11 years now. Over the years, I’ve been involved in just about every area of Children’s Ministry. PDO, Rainbows, Women’s Bible study Childcare. My husband and I worked a Sunday morning toddlers class for a while, and I even worked VBS. I loved being with the kids. My desire was to be apart of the Women’s Ministry though, and a few years ago, God opened that door for me (Thank you Gloria!). Now I’m a member of the Prize leadership team.
Wow! Well, anyone who knows me knows that this has been a pretty ‘BUSY’ summer for the Cray household. We’ve had ER visits, a 4 day stay in the children’s ICU, and numerous doctor’s appointments due to injuries. My mom passed away about a month ago at the young age of 61, after battling Alzheimer’s disease for about 3 years.
We’ve had a lot of challenging moments, but we’ve also had some great times reconnecting with family and making great memories. We’ve had a few opportunities to get away on some mini vacations and just had a wonderful time! The boys love the junk food and hotel stays, no matter where we go.
I would have to say my favorite part of the summer though has been just seeing the closeness and growth in our family. We’ve drawn closer, and my children have just really drawn closer to Christ. Their faith has been tested, and it’s grown. My faith has grown… And it’s evidenced in our home! It’s an amazing thing!
The last book I read had to be by Ted Dekker, but I can’t remember which book it was. Oh, and my husband and I recently read through The Love Dare together. I loved it!
My music selection is all over the map, but lately I’ve been listening to a lot of Dean Martin, Newsboys, and Mercy Me.
The last movie I watched was Mirror Mirror with Julia Roberts. I loved It! It’s not often we rent a ‘girlie’ in this house. My guys were so kind to sit and watch it with me. I am happy to report that they all enjoyed it as well.
