Always Date Your Spouse by Meagan Goyne

Before engagements and marriages you date, right? You go on dates to learn more about each other and see if you are compatible. So why would you stop dating just because you’re married?

Making date nights a non-negotiable is something I’m very passionate about. No matter how many years you’ve spent together, there’s always something new to learn about your spouse by being intentional in that relationship and with your partner.

My husband and I started dating at the age of 16. We dated for 4 years before we got married. Just because we were newlyweds without kids didn’t mean we dated “every” day. We were still very young trying to work, pay bills, and figure out life. Being high school sweethearts, we grew up together. As if growth isn’t challenging enough, throw in another human growing with you and it can be very difficult. But that’s what’s so beautiful about marriage to me. No matter how young or old, you will always be growing through different stages of life together, becoming stronger as one.

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up…”

‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭4:9-10

This is awesome! My best date is having a husband who goes with me to church. We may take for granted what so many wives desire, and some husbands too.😢
