Are You Living With Eternity In Mind?

How would you rate your Christianity? It’s something we need to have a pulse on before it’s too late. This is not a time to be casual in our belief about the things God values.

We are all watching things unfold around us with way too many dealing with unexpected deaths in their families as a result of COVID-19.

I’m sure you are thinking like I am these days and are really taking in the reality that tomorrow is not guaranteed to any of us without God’s help.

Many Christians I have met over the years have talked about Christ, but I’m not sure they really know him and it breaks my heart.

When things get rough, they fold their tent and go home. These believers mean well, but they haven’t fully invested themselves in following Christ. They don’t know His heart.

One area I believe this in-congruency happens is when a woman faces an unplanned pregnancy. She, her parents, or her boyfriend step out in fear or selfishness and they lose their bearings in that moment.

Today across Texas we are celebrating that The Texas Heartbeat Act is in place as law. Celebrate with us because it bans abortion after six weeks. I pray this becomes another giant step toward basic civil rights in our nation. God we repent of the innocent bloodshed that has gone on way too long.

I think one way we can rate our Christianity is how we treat innocent babies in the womb. I don’t want to sound insensitive to those who may have had an abortion; I want to do the opposite by telling you that God sees you and wants to heal your heart and your life. His forgiveness is offered to all who sin. We are all sinners.

If you ask me why I would risk saying those words, I would say this: If we stay silent and don’t risk sharing the truth, many others will suffer.

I believe that life in the womb is precious and should be the safest place for a baby to grow in.

People, sexual encounters produce babies. Abortion is a term we casually use but think about what we are doing as a society – we are terminating the life of an innocent baby who deserves life as much as you do.

Is it time for you to really get to know Christ? He has the power to change all of our lives no matter where we have been or what we have done. I believe it’s time for all of us to view our lives from a heavenly perspective – this is just practice of what’s to come in eternity. Talking and walking are two different paths…let’s be true Christians in action.
