Madi Prewett Troutt

Madison was born and raised in a small town in Alabama with her parents and 2 sisters. She was taught the importance of following Jesus from a young age. Her family was very involved at Church, so Madi spent a lot of her time serving there, attending VBS, and going on mission trips.

As Madison got older, her faith in God started becoming more about rules and reputation over relationship. Her faith wasn’t her own, it was her parent’s or her church’s. She fell into a performance-based mindset, looking to others for acceptance and striving for achievements. Although she didn’t pursue an intimate relationship with God, she still wanted to be “good for Him” and kept herself out of trouble.  Madison went to Auburn University and immediately started feeling pressures and temptations like never before. Although Madi would’ve called herself a “good girl,” she still wanted to fit in. After trying for a while to live the college life, she experienced deep heaviness and broke down in her dorm, crying out to God.

Tired of striving and performing, she re-surrendered her heart to Jesus and finally decided to make him the Lord of her life.

That day changed everything for her. Madison found a local church and got plugged in immediately! She joined a small group full of other believers who wanted to live for Jesus, and she joined her church’s Bible college.
