They never intended for us to find out what they were doing behind closed doors.
The enemy has the power to blind us using pride and deception…no one is exempt.
It’s devastating how God’s people can quickly become the brunt of the joke in the realms of where our enemy dwells. JT my youngest son was an online student at Liberty University, and I now I am left bowing my head and praying for Jerry Falwell Jr and his entire family.
I’m heartbroken that he chose to stay behind instead of going to war in the heavenlies. Reminds me of King David. Revival should have been occupying their family story, but instead we are learning of a different narrative.
I don’t think it’s a time to throw stones. It’s time to act like Jesus did when the woman who was caught in the act of adultery was thrust before Him.
Inappropriate, personal and intimate relationships are no longer secret, but rather out in the open for all of us to know about. Not the way they would have chosen to impact a generation of young, impressionable minds. They were deceived.
II Samuel 1:27 – states: “Oh, how the mighty have fallen!
Temptation that leads to sexual sin with someone who is not your wife or husband is not going to turn out well. It will instead lead heavy guilt and shame.
Now is not a time to be involved in the temptation games this world says is FUN. They are lying. They are trying to get you distracted in order to put you in bondage.
Now, we are left with an entire student body dealing with a new reality of following a leader who says one thing but does another.
We know that the student body is already dealing with temptation like no other generation that has ever lived, and they desperately need to see their leaders fighting on their behalf. They need strong leaders showing them how to forge weapons of war from the tools the enemy tried to impale them on. They need role models who know how to be humble and selfless.
Now is not a time to be going through the motions.
The enemy studies all of us and meticulously plans his attacks against us. We must be anchored to Christ in order to make it past the landmines of this world’s system that are filled with lust and pornographic demonic forces.
“Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.”
Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Psalm 119:11 “I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.”
1 Corinthians 15:33 “Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”
1 Corinthians 10:13 “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”
James 4:7 “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
Galatians 5:16 “But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.”
1 Corinthians 6:18-20 “Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So, glorify God in your body.”
We are at war! Take these scriptures and share them with those in your circle of influence, with your family members, and with your friends. Let’s fight for each other.
Amen!!
