Friends, we know that Jerusalem holds a special place in the hearts of many, both historically and spiritually. It’s the city central to the Jewish faith, and for Christians it is where Jesus walked, ministered, and ultimately gave His life for us.
We are called to pray for the place that will ultimately be known by all that this is the city known for reconciliation and for hope.
Today let’s remember this scripture: “And I will be to her a wall of fire all around, declares the Lord, and I will be the glory in her midst.”
As we lift up Israel in prayer today, let’s do so with great love, with great humility and a heart for God’s plan. We know that nations are a big part of God’s grand design. Praying for Israel is a global responsibility for Christians.
Let’s not forget that we have the power to bring transformation in God’s world.
Zechariah reminds of an everlasting truth: …”For the Lord has an eye on mankind and on all the tribes of Israel.”
