Easter is our topic, and now we are two weeks away from rejoicing in the miracle of new birth – and living our forever stories with the lover of our souls. 

Think about how Jesus assumed a human nature and as that assignment unfolded, He submitted to an agonizing and shameful public death.   

Only JESUS 

• Only the son of the living God could redeem us back to the family.  
• Only Jesus could make this happen, and He kept His word to His Father.  
• In His sinless humanity, He redeemed us back to our Father, and his Father. 

His promise to return for His followers was given to bring them heavenly comfort. 

How comforting to us, in this troublesome world, to know that Jesus will be back for all of us who have followed Him here on earth.

The weight of Jesus’ response to Martha, that He is “the resurrection and the life,” must have increased once Martha saw her brother, dead by then four days, walk out of his tomb (John 11:38–44). 

I believe the hope Martha and all believers witnessed and participated in invite us to do the same.  They pass the baton to us.  What will we believe in our hour?  

Jesus made us a promise and it’s up to us to continue to look for Jesus to return for His church as we embrace John 14:1-3

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 

In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”
