What kind of suffering are you experiencing in your life this day?
Is there conflict with someone in your life at this moment?
Has a relationship broken, and your heart is in a million pieces?
Financially, are you having a hard time making ends meet?
What about emotionally, are you tired of being tired, saddened, tired, and hurt?
We know the political system can’t help. Trusting man is not a good idea when everyone is making up the rules of life as they go. Physically many are battling sickness and disease, and it’s obviously a hard time for way too many of God’s people. I could see where many would be tempted to wear the VICTIM—BUT WE CAN’T FALL IN THAT PIT where the ladder close to the exit seems to disappear.
So, what do we do when life doesn’t make sense, or it hurts too much to want to go forward?
We imagine. We imagine heaven. We imagine how one day everything will make sense. What helps me not to fall into a sink hole in my emotions is to remember that God left everything in glory for me to experience peace. We have to trust in the great reversal. What’s the great reversal. It’s the gift of great value.
While ruling and reigning in Heaven, Jesus was experiencing our dream in glory (if you aren’t dreaming about heaven, you should be). He left it all to enter our nightmare. Everything we want off our lives is what Jesus put onto Himself by entering the world. Like a firefighter running into a burning building that everyone else is running out of, Jesus chose to put Himself in harm’s way to pull us out.
He did not have to do this, but in doing so He showed us what love really is. If you are feeling rejected, Jesus gets you. He knows how you feel. It happened to Him as well. Not only did Jesus suffer throughout His life — he suffered death in the most painful, shameful, and damnable ways. He made that choice to help you. Today, be reminded that Jesus stepped in to shield you and to save you – He knows rejection.
Wait, they put him on a cross. I think it’s safe to say that He knows what DEEP REJECTION feels like. That’s why he did something about it.
Is 53:4 tells us that “He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief, and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed Him not. THIS IS JESUS WE ARE TALKING ABOUT. Can you imagine what it is like to know you are here on the earth to save mankind and mankind is giving you attitude.
THAT’S WHAT MANKIND IS STILL DOING,
BUT LET IT NOT BE SAID OF YOU THAT YOU ARE GIVING GOD ATTITUDE.
When He died for you and me the curtain of life was opened, and His presence was now available to the world. Let’s continue our conversation next week of how we are justice warriors.
