Life has a way of luring us into the false comfort of “tomorrow.” We push off conversations, delay the hugs, and assume there will always be more time.
But as the Facebook comments from my recent video reminded me, life is fleeting, and the moments we cherish most often vanish before we realize how precious they were.
One commentor shared about losing her mom and how no amount of time ever feels like enough. Another described the legacy of a friend’s mother who lived and loved with deep intentionality despite her struggles. These stories, and so many others, serve as powerful reminders…
Our time with loved ones is finite, but its impact is infinite.
So, how do we break free from the rush of life and truly embrace the here and now?
- Speak Your Heart: Never assume people know how you feel. Whether it’s a simple “I love you,” an overdue apology, or a note of gratitude, your words hold power. Denise said it beautifully in her comment: savor the moments with those who matter. Let your love be loud.
- Choose Connection Over Convenience: Work, chores, and screens can wait. Your people cannot. Lupe’s reflection on her mom’s heart transformation was a poignant example of what matters most: being present with those we hold dear.
- Love with Purpose: Whether it’s sitting silently with someone, sharing a laugh, or simply holding a hand, love with the kind of urgency that makes people feel seen and valued. As Steve wisely said, “The time, the moments, the conversations—even sitting in silence—will hold a special place in our hearts forever.”
Ladies, don’t let life’s distractions rob you of its richest treasures. If there’s one lesson worth learning, it’s this: your people are your priority. Every moment counts, and you hold the power to fill it with meaning.
Let’s not wait for a tragedy to remind us of life’s fragility. Let’s live today as if it’s a gift because it truly is. Hug your mom, call your friend, forgive someone, or simply sit with the people you love.
Challenge: Share this message with someone close to your heart. And if you feel inspired, COMMENT WITH OTHERS ON FACEBOOK HERE—what’s one thing you’ll do today to cherish the moment? Your story may be the nudge someone else needs to live with intention.
Remember, the moments we live in love are the ones we carry forever.
