How is your soul?
Have you ever gone to the doctor for a soul check?
I don’t know if there is a medical billing code for soul checks, yet I do know that mental health issues are at an all-time high because our souls are in need of healing. Unlike our visible bodies, which can be seen, our invisible souls cannot be seen—not even if we tried to use a microscope or telescope. Our souls are only seen by the God who made them, and our society is trying to fix them without His help.
Something is not right here! Forced perversion is not the answer.
Our souls are housed in the deepest level of our being… and will remain there for all of eternity and we are playing games with our truest longings.
We fret about our appearance, our weight, our flaws, and the best angle for a selfie, yet we ignore our inner lives. We ignore the soul tsunamis hitting the shores of our mind that are making us angry, lonely, and depressed.
Believe it or not, those are all signals that God inserted into our DNA to remind us that we have journeyed away from Him. I don’t think our man-made plastic life rafts are enough to uphold the tsunamis coming our way when we try to lead our own lives our own way.
We must pay attention to what is really happening. We can no longer act as if our inner life doesn’t affect our outer life. Truth is: Our inner life affects our outer life more than we can imagine.
A peaceful soul, forgiven and loved by God, does more good than anything you could ever own or achieve in this world…and God knew that when He created us.
Romans 6:21 says this: “As long as you did what you felt like doing, ignoring God, you didn’t have to bother with right thinking or right living, or right anything for that matter. But do you call that a free life? What did you get out of it? Nothing you’re proud of now. Where did it get you? A dead end.”
I didn’t read that to condemn anyone, but simply to remind everyone to stop ignoring yourself.
Your spiritual quotient is the rudder for your soul, it’s signaling to tell you something is wrong.
We cannot live life and only pay attention to our intelligence or emotional quotients.
Our Spiritual Quotient – SQ is what allows all our God-given gifts to flourish and make sense.
If we don’t have soul-alignments, there will be frustration, depression, anxiety…and the list goes on and on because our souls keep score. God is a God of order.
Life will not be complete or make sense unless we pay attention to the true essence of who we really were created to become before our Creator who is the Doctor of doctors, the Genius of geniuses, and the Scientist of scientists.
