Who Are You Becoming by Gloria Toti

In today’s world, it seems like there’s a new tragedy or something to mourn and grieve over each week.

With such pain and loss in the world, how do we cope?

How do parents protect their kids?

How do families stay intact?

How do singles believe in their dreams?

I think we slow down and fight back by bowing our knees.

We confess our personal sins.  We stop treating God as if He is one of us.  He’s not one of us.  He’s God who already predicted what would happen if we didn’t stay close to Him.

We all are a part of the God-force that is needed in this hour.  Friends, the enemy is unrelenting.  You might be doing good, but he will look for someone in your family who may not be as strong as you are.  He wants in.

The enemy knows he can bring destruction a family by using one person. He’s sly.

This current generation of young people are watching hurt and brokenness flood their schools, their neighborhoods, and their families.

They are feeling the intentional rhythm of destruction without spiritual knowledge or weapons to help them fight.

I believe we have failed them.

If you are close to my age, then you saw a different world than the kids of today.

I hate what I am seeing.  I feel for this generation of young people who didn’t ask for any of this.

I can see where this generation of young people would be tempted to talk or act like their days are over before they even began.

What happened to the days where God was honored and valued, and we respected each other even if we didn’t agree with one another.

History is being repeated and that’s a dangerous place to be.

Judges 17:6 says this: “In those days there was no king in Israel; every man did what was right in his own eyes.”

That was not a compliment toward mankind.

History is repeating itself, and it’s only going to get worst unless we wake up and repent.

We all need a healthy fear of God to stay out of the lane of end-time deception.

Later today, I want you to look in the mirror and tell yourself if you like the person you have allowed yourself to become?

Ask God if there is deception in your life.

If you don’t like you, do something about it!

Repentance is the bridge to God.  Hiding is the bridge to the enemy of your soul.

Each time you look in the mirror, remember there are a lot of evil spirits upping their game and trying to see who will give them attention.  Give yourself permission to stop listening to their lies.

Bow and ask God to help you, your family members, and the young people of this generation.

The best is not behind you; it’s ahead.

Next week, we will discuss Jude 1:17 – for now go fight for yourself.
