Resuscitation by Nita Kuehn

Resuscitation is the process of correcting physiological disorders such as lack of breathing or heartbeat.

I think most of us are familiar with this method of literally saving someone’s life.  It can even involve a process known as mouth to mouth resuscitation.  It seems like a very personal, but often necessary, method to revive a person.

So why is this on my mind today?  The truth is, I was pleasure reading in The Passion Translation of my Bible when I came across a most interesting scripture – spoken in a way I had not heard before.  It really sent my mind whirling. Proverbs 23:15 read like this:  My beloved child, when your heart is full of wisdom, my heart is full of gladness.  And when you speak anointed words, we are speaking mouth to mouth.

Wow!  I had never thought of it like that!  When we are speaking His words – it is like Him speaking right through us.  He is not only giving us life, but we are giving that same life to others.  His anointed words pouring into and through us can revive the world!

That literally gives me goosebumps!  It makes me want to fill my heart with His words of wisdom so that they will spill out onto others giving them back their breath of life and the heartbeat of the Father.

My precious friends, you have that same gift.

You have access to the Truth that restores life.  I pray that you desire to fill yourself with His Word and His wisdom on a daily basis so that you, too, may speak mouth to mouth with your Creator and be a messenger of His life and light to others.

By the way, if thinking about dwelling in God’s Word is not a pleasurable idea, perhaps trying a paraphrased version of the Bible might help.  There are many to choose from, but just a few would be The Message; The Passion Translation; or The New Living Bible.  These are not for deep theological study, but rather to help you develop an intimate relationship and understanding of the heart of God.

Another thing I do as I sit down to spend time with Him in His Word it to have a paper and pen ready.  He might quicken my heart to a particular verse that really speaks to me.  I just write it down and date it.  And then I ask if He would like to reveal anything else about it to me.  And then I am still and listen.  It is absolutely amazing!

Reading His Word can fill your heart with wisdom and your soul with new life.  Pray and ask Him to open your eyes as you read.  It can literally be the most precious time of your day.

I encourage you.  Get filled up and become a life-giver.  Let’s resuscitate the world one day at a time!
