Have you ever asked yourself, “Who Am I?” Did you immediately think of what you do?
Our true identity is not what we do – it’s who we are. Our true identity longs to be expressed, and no one can fulfill our personal, god-given potential. Only we can!
Did you know that the number one fear most of us have is not tapping our potential? We want to change the way we see ourselves, yet most of us give up too easily when it comes to believing in ourselves.
What’s going on?
We let our past mistakes define who we want to become.
If we want to start living meaningful lives, we have to be willing to let go of our past.
We have to be willing to live in the moment and on purpose.
So the number one goal we need to have in 2021 is to change the way we see ourselves. We need a new identity.
We need to practice hearing the voice of God. If we don’t know what He says about us, we will probably settle for day old intentions.
Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, my people perish.”
As long as our vision is impaired, we can’t go where we want to go, and the scary thought is: we might not go anywhere.
If you are constantly thinking that no one likes you, you are going to attract that. If you are constantly thinking you are worthless, you will probably attract people in your life that treat you like your are worthless.
Our dreams have to become bigger than our memories.
It’s been proven that people who come to America from other countries are 3 to 4 times more likely to become millionaires, why? They have it so programmed in their mind that this is a place of opportunity, it’s a place where dreams come true, and consequently when they get here, they walk into it like a magnet.
I hope you didn’t hear that people with vision make money, but instead how their thoughts lead to action.
What gets in our minds will either attract positive or negative things in our lives because what we behold, we become.
Proverbs 23:7 reminds us – “As a man thinks in his heart, so does he become.”
If you want to know where you are headed just listen to the words you speak. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Don’t use your words to describe your life, use your words to change your life!
Then get ready to see your life change – to see your identity take on new meaning – and to see your goals reached in 2021.
You are being equipped for an eternal assignments. Are you ready?
Excellent article, Gloria!! Thank you!
I love this, one of my passions!!
We have to ask ourselves this question each day. Who do we want to become – we must never forget how the foundations we formed yesterday will bring us up or down.
